When you’re a busy homeschooling mom, it can be hard to find the time (or energy!) to cook wholesome meals day in and day out for your family. A few years ago, I was at the end of my rope and dusted off my slow cooker crockpot that I got as a wedding present. I made so many recipes in my crockpot the first few years I homeschooled – I’ll have to do a blog post soon about a few of my favorites.
But then along came my new best friend, The Instant Pot, and my slow cooker got moved to the back burner. Pun totally intended. Haha.
My Instant Pot was a total upgrade from the old crockpot. If you are feeding a family of four or more, I recommend getting at least a 6 quart Instant Pot to make meals big enough for 4-6 people. That’s what I have, and I’m glad I didn’t go with a smaller sized one, like I was originally planning on getting. If your family is 2-3 people, then the 4 quart is a good size.
I’m not much of a cook, but thankfully pressure cookers are pretty darn forgiving. It’s easy to set up a meal and have it ready in a few minutes. I know we all learn and feel better when we eat healthy, nourishing food – so I’m working on that!
Sidenote: If you’re looking for easy weekly meal plans, full of budget-friendly recipes, I recommend $5 Meal Plan. $5 Meal Plan is a meal planning service that sends you a delicious meal plan and shopping list every week for just $5 a month. It’s totally worth it to me – and saves me a lot of money because the meals they send you are so budget friendly and can feed my whole family… Plus, then I don’t get bored and end up at the drive-thru line. Haha.
